Child Care Pre-Licensing Workshops
As of January 1, 2006, the North Carolina Division of Child Development requires that all prospective owner/operators of child care centers to attend a two-day Child Care Center Pre-Licensing Workshop prior to being issued a license to care for children. Child Care Resources coordinates the delivery of these workshops across the state that are designed to ensure statewide access to consistently high quality workshops for persons interested in opening child care programs and educate prospective operators about starting and sustaining high quality programs. Although not required for licensure, persons interested in starting a family child care home are strongly encouraged to attend. For more information, contact fbusse@childcareresourcesinc.org.
