Child Care Resources provides the following child care resource and referral (CCR&R) services across the North Carolina Child Care Resource & Referral Council’s Region 7 (which is comprised of Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly and Union Counties).
Core CCR&R Services
Child Care Resources coordinates consumer education, professional development, technical assistance, data collection and public awareness for Region 7 (Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union Counties. Contact Francesca Busse.
Healthy Social Behaviors Initiative
Child Care Resources is responsible for the leadership and management of this statewide initiative which supports child care centers that serve children who display challenging behaviors and /or those that wish to further develop pro-social behaviors in all children served. Services include specialized consultation, technical assistance, and training to promote social competencies in all children in childcare centers. Contact Erin Bracey.
Infant-Toddler Quality Enhancement Initiative
This service is available for all licensed child care programs in Region 7 that are in good standing with the North Carolina Division of Child Development. Services include: in-depth and short-term on-site technical assistance regarding infants/toddlers, workshops on the Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS), Positive Guidance for Infants & Toddlers, and Ages & Stages. School-Age Quality Improvement Initiative
The initiative is available to all Region 7 licensed and unlicensed child care programs with school-age children or those seeking school-age children. Its services include: on-site technical assistance and training on topics including Basic School-Age Care, School Age Care Environment Rating Scale, Playground Safety, program start-up and best practices in school-age care.
