Regional CCR&R Activities Program Manager - Full-time position responsible for providing leadership and supervision to child care resource and referral activities in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Rowan and Stanly counties including consumer education and referral, professional development, technical assistance for quality improvement and maintenance, public education and awareness, special initiatives, and data collection and reporting responsibilities.
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred) in Early Care and Education or related field and seven years experience in the field with a minimum of three years experience at a supervisory/program level. Child Development Specialist - Full-time and part-time Child Development Specialist positions support child care quality improvement efforts in child care centers; provide training and technical assistance to enrich children’s literacy and language development; and deliver training to enhance the professional growth, business and administration skills and strengths of Early Childhood directors. Requires Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field (Master's degree strongly preferred); knowledge of child care licensing guidelines; proficient use of Environment Rating Scales (ECERS-R and ITERS-R) and Program Administration Scale (PAS); and effective consultation/technical assistance essential; Minimum of 3-5 years experience in technical assistance, directing and/or owning child care programs. Behavior Specialist - The full-time Behavior Specialist delivers CSEFEL-based technical assistance and training to early care and education teachers in Scotland, Sampson, Cumberland, Robeson and Duplin Counties. The services focus on supporting the development of young children's social-emotional competencies in order to prevent and address challenging behaviors in child care centers. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Child Psychology or related field, and at least three years of experience working with preschool-age children. Must have demonstrated competence in leadership, workshop preparation and delivery of training and technical assistance support to early childhood programs, and the ability to establish rapport with children, parents and child care providers.
