Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Senior Vice President sought for child focused nonprofit. Position leads/manages dept. responsible for donor research and cultivation, fundraising/special events, grants writing & management, marketing/PR, communications, research/planning & evaluation. Excellent leadership, management, communication, supervisory, and organizational skills essential. Bachelor’s degree in related field (Masters preferred) with minimum of 6-10 years of experience and proven success at leadership advancement levels.
Marketing & Development Associate
Opportunity for a detail oriented individual with BA/BS and a minimum of two years of fundraising AND grant writing experience in a nonprofit organization. Candidate should have strong written & verbal communication, organizational & computer skills; Raisers Edge experience is a plus.
Raising a Reader Coordinator
The Program Coordinator will work with early childhood programs to fully engage families in their young children’s education. This position is responsible for implementing and sustaining a Raising a Reading Program in Mecklenburg County, which encourages lap-reading to young children. This position ensures that each provider receives thorough instruction on how to administer the Reading Program. This position will also design, develop and deliver technical assistance and training to a selected group of early education sites in Mecklenburg County on family-centered practice, and will coordinate learning networks/coalitions of early childhood directors and staff. BA/BS in early childhood or related field, 4-5 years experience in early childhood education or family support, Bi-lingual Spanish/English communication skills a plus.
Behavior Specialist
This position will provide resources, training, and technical assistance to child care providers so that they can identify, prevent, and address challenging behaviors in young children in child care settings, ultimately resulting in the expulsions of fewer children from child care programs. BA/BS in Early Childhood, Child Development, Child Psychology, or related field. At least 3 years of experience in working with preschool children and their families or the programs that serve them. Demonstrated competence in delivery of training and technical assistance support.
Child Care Financial Aid Social Worker
Financial Aid Social Work position to provide case management activities for the specific purpose of determining families eligibility to receive child care financial assistance; on-going case management services, intake, needs evaluation and assessment, providing referrals, education and assistance to families in addressing child care options and issues, conducting follow-up activities and updating information. B.A. in social work or related field, at least one year experience in case management/eligibility determination, computer literacy, excellent oral and written communication skills required. Child development background preferred. Bi-lingual preferred.
Child Development Specialists
Full-time Training/Technical Assistance positions to support child care quality improvement efforts in child care centers and family child care homes. Master's degree in early childhood or related field strongly preferred (Bachelor's degree required) knowledge of child care licensing guidelines, Environment Rating Scales and effective consultation/technical assistance essential. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in technical assistance directing and or owning child care programs and coaching/mentoring/teaching adult learners preferred.
